Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdares
Distance: 180 km. (3 hours). Morning drive to Mweiga in time for lunch at Aberdares Country Club. Transfer to The Ark for bird and game watching during the rest of your stay. Dinner & overnight at The Ark, L,D.
Day 2: Aberdares – Mount Kenya Safari Club
Distance: 90 km. (1 hrs, 30 min.). After breakfast drive to Nanyuki takes you through a 2,000 meters high valley with the silhouette of Mount Kenya on your right. Day at leisure. Lunch, dinner & overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club, B, L,D.
Day 3: Mount Kenya Safari Club – Nairobi – Naivasha
Distance: 220 km (3 hrs.) & 90 km. (1 hr. 15 min.). Drive back to Nairobi after breakfast. Lunch at Norfolk Hotel. Continue via the Rift Valley escarpment with breathtaking views of the world’s greatest land rift to papyrus fringed Lake Naivasha. Sunset boat ride to see the hippos. Dinner & overnight accommodation at Lake Naivasha Country Club/Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge/Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, B, L,D.
Day 4: Naivasha – Masai Mara
Distance: 300 km. (5 hrs). Morning drive west past extinct Mount Longonot into the magnificent Masai Mara Game Reserve. Afternoon game viewing drive. Lunch, dinner & overnight at Mara Serena Lodge, B, L,D.
Day 5: Masai Mara
Full day of game viewing. Sunrise and sundown are the greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, a time where the soft red hues of the sun will give your photographs the clarity of the actual African Savannah. Meals & overnight at Mara Serena Lodge, B, L,D.
Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Distance: 300 km. (5 hrs.) Breakfast and drive back to Nairobi.
Details: Only a small overnight bag is permitted, storage facilities are available at the “base hotel”. Children below 7 are not admitted. Tie & jacket for gentlemen and evening gown for ladies are required after sundown. From 18.30 hrs, children under 12 are not permitted in public areas.
